If you are a pet owner, make some plan for who will care for your pets when you are not able. Unfortunately, too many people forget about this. It often results in friends and family arguing over who gets to love your pet when you can’t or that your pet has to be handed over to a pet rescue group or similar organization.

You may also consider the Cohn Pet Care Facility at Oklahoma State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. This facility serves as a permanent home for animals whose owners planned in advance to ensure their beloved pet is care for in the owner’s absence.  An endowment paid upfront secures the funds necessary to provide shelter, food and veterinary medical care for the life of your pet.
